The Horrendous Face of Anger in Men

Anger in men is generally more alarming and threatening compared to the same rage in women. It is a very natural emotion but when left unaddressed and spin out of control, anger could be truly destructive. Being angry is triggered by various situations and circumstances in life. It could be fuelled or awakened by negative events or realities such as manipulation or abuse. Anger is a positive emotion especially when properly channelled and addressed. It could motivate a person to strive hard in life to eventually bounce back from negative events which causes anger.

Uncontrolled and unmanaged rage is a different thing. It is both emotionally and physically threatening. Nevertheless, there are recommendable techniques and steps which could certainly help a person deal with anger especially in men.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

This is one of the medically accepted ways to deal with anger in men and women. It is highly preferred especially by authorities such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CBT is an effective and remarkable medical tool used for men and women irrespective of cultural background or race. Those who undergo this technique are made to identify the underlying or root trigger of the anger. Anger management programs are designed to deal with the problem according to the diagnosis on the patient.

Exercise Routines

Anger is more than emotions. Being angry could also evoke very intense and strong physical response. The rush of adrenaline in the body could trigger physiological symptoms such as heart palpitation or rapid heart rate, respiratory increase and so much more. Exercising could work off the body’s adrenaline and release endorphins or natural mood enhancers.

Anger in men is normal but it must never go out of control. The different methods of treatment for anger could make a tremendous difference when taken.
