Rage and Emotional Outbursts
Rage is anger at high temperature. The goal is not to shame the person. The goal is to identify the early warning signs and build a plan before the reaction becomes unsafe or damaging.
Early warning signs
- Heat in the face, chest or hands.
- Fast talking, pacing, clenching or pointing.
- All-or-nothing thoughts: “always”, “never”, “no one respects me”.
- Urge to punish, threaten, break, drive aggressively or send messages immediately.
High-risk rule: when the body is at rage level, do not continue the argument. Step away safely and return after regulation.
